SG Healthcare Establishes First AI-Integrated Radiology Center in Almaty, Kazakhstan

Almaty, Kazakhstan – September 9, 2025 – SG Healthcare (KOSDAQ: 398120), a leading provider of AI-based diagnostic imaging medical devices, announced today the establishment of a local subsidiary in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and the opening of the first branch of its next-generation radiology model, Seoul Medical Center, integrating AI, telemedicine, and medical tourism.

The Seoul Medical Center will operate using SG Healthcare’s proprietary medical imaging devices, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and X-ray systems. Through a strategic partnership with Human Imaging Center, Korea’s largest remote-reading specialist, the center will provide 100% Korean-style medical services from examination to diagnosis. Using DICOMLINK from HealthHub, patient imaging and medical data will be securely connected and shared, enabling real-time cross-border telemedicine.

Patients requiring surgery or procedures based on MRI or CT results will be referred to specialized medical institutions in Korea through medical tourism services. This initiative aims to establish a global healthcare value chain, spanning AI-based medical device manufacturing, hospital operations, telemedicine, and medical tourism.

SG Healthcare plans to expand from the Almaty branch to 15 locations in major Central Asian cities—including Astana, Kazakhstan, and Tashkent, Uzbekistan—within the next five years, targeting an average annual growth rate of 30% to strengthen its global presence.

Jung-Soo Kim, CEO of SG Healthcare, said, “Seoul Medical Center will not only expand Korean-style healthcare services abroad but also contribute to improving medical infrastructure in Central Asia. By combining our AI-based diagnostic devices with telemedicine and medical tourism, we aim to introduce a new model for global healthcare services.”

Founded in 2009, SG Healthcare is the only Korean company with a full lineup of diagnostic imaging devices, from digital X-ray to helium-free MRI INVICTUS, and possesses global-level AI-powered imaging software capabilities. The company was listed on KOSDAQ in December 2024.

SG Healthcare’s subsidiary, Mintlabs, co-developed the AI MRI software IAI with KAIST. The technology reduces scanning time from 20 minutes to 5 minutes while significantly improving image quality. It has obtained approval from the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and is currently under review for U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance.
